The Edmonds School District Alumni Association was founded in 1995 by Rick Harper (EHS 1965) as an organization to help graduates from the Edmonds School District stay in touch, network with others in business and pleasure endeavors, and contribute to the community by awarding scholarships to graduating seniors in the five school district high schools.  If you are interested in helping or contributing to these endeavors you may contact us at (425) 670-7084, e-mail us at fitzdl@aol.com, or mail us at P.O. The Edmonds School District High Schools are all supported by the scholarships.  These schools are Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace, and Scriber Lake.  Also graduates from the former Edmonds and Woodway High Schools are supported in reunions.  We awarded $20,000 in scholarship money in June of 2005 to 25 different students.  Some of our scholarships are for certain career choices such as fine arts, teaching, building trades and vocational schools.  Others are for students going on to any general education degree.  At this time, none of our scholarships are renewable.  We select students based on need in some cases and merit in others, depending on the wishes of the contributors.  Our applications are in the high schools at the end of March and are due somewhere at the end of April.  Students can see their high school counselor for more details.

We also send a newsletter to graduates twice a year.  Because of the high cost of mailing and printing we send to all members (those who have paid a $15 yearly fee) and to those graduates who have been out of high school for 30 years or more who are on our data base.  We are an all volunteer group so no money that is contributed goes to salaries.  As much as possible goes each year to support our scholarship efforts.
